How to Automatically Publish the Default Management Point to DNS

適用於: System Center Configuration Manager 2007, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R2, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 R3, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP1, System Center Configuration Manager 2007 SP2

To automatically publish a service location resource record (SRV RR) in Domain Name System (DNS) for the default management point in a Configuration Manager 2007 site, follow the procedure below. Publishing to DNS requires a version of DNS running BIND 8.1.2 or higher, which is configured to allow automatic updates.

注意

The published name will use the intranet fully qualified domain name (FQDN) specified for the site system that is configured as the default management point. If no intranet FQDN is specified, the computer's NetBIOS name will be used.

To publish the default management point to DNS:

  1. In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Site Management.

  2. Right-click <site name> -<site code> and then click Properties.

  3. On the Advanced tab in the site properties dialog box, select Publish the default management point in DNS (intranet only).

  4. Click OK.
