How to Create an Advertisement
Once a package has been created, along with programs to tell client computers what to do with the package, you need to advertise the program that you want the clients to run. Advertising the program makes a program available to a specified collection of clients. (For information about collections, see About Collections.)
When creating advertisements, it is strongly recommended that you test advertised programs in a controlled environment before you create advertisements for the clients in your site hierarchy.
重要
When creating an advertisement, Configuration Manager includes subcollections as well as collections by default. You should review this option to avoid including undesirable clients in an advertisement.
In order to create an advertisement, you must have Create permission for the Advertisement security object type, Advertise permission for the collection, and Read permission for the package. For more information about security permissions, see Classes and Instances for Object Security in Configuration Manager.
注意
When creating an advertisement reusing packages from earlier version of System Management Server (SMS) where no hash was created, you need to update the package first before sending out the advertisement. Without doing this, Configuration Manager clients will fail to run the advertisement.
To create an advertisement
In the Configuration Manager console, navigate to System Center Configuration Manager / Site Database / Computer Management / Software Distribution.
Right-click Advertisements, point to New, and then click Advertisement.
Use the New Advertisement Wizard to create an advertisement, specifying general information, the collection to which the advertisement should be distributed, the run schedule, and other information for the new advertisement.
For additional information about this wizard, see New Advertisement Wizard.
