How to Delete a Virtual Application Package from a Configuration Manager Client
You can use the following methods to delete a virtual application package from Configuration Manager 2007 client computers:
Delete the Configuration Manager 2007 advertisement for the virtual application package.
Remove the Configuration Manager 2007 client computer from the collection that receives the virtual application package advertisement.
If you use the first method and delete the associated package advertisement, Configuration Manager 2007 will remove the package and all of the associated applications from all computers that are members of the collection that originally received the advertisement.
If you want to remove the package from a specific computer, you must use the second method and remove the computer from the collection that receives the advertisement. If you use query based or dynamic collections, target computers that are members of a dynamic collection that did receive the virtual application package advertisement will not run the advertisement unless you deselect Remove this virtual application package when it is no longer advertised on the General page of the New Virtual Application Package Wizard. For more information about the collection types see About Collection Membership.
