How to Set a Default Selection in the Single Content Type Dialog Box

Provides an illustration of setting a default selection in the Single Content Type dialog box.

Instructions

The following example shows the key and value that are used to set the default selection (the selection highlighted when the dialog box is presented) for the Single Content Type dialog box.

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER
   SOFTWARE
      Microsoft
         Windows
            CurrentVersion
               Explorer
                  AutoplayHandlers
                     EventHandlersDefaultSelection
                        Event = Event Handler

"Event" is the name of one of the AutoPlay event handler keys that are registered under the EventHandlers key, for instance ShowPicturesOnArrival. "Event Handler" is one of the values for that event, for instance MSOpenFolder.
