Microsoft System Center Data Protection Manager 2007 為一套伺服器軟體應用程式，它可對 Active Directory 網域中受保護的電腦進行資料保護與復原。

若執行 System Center Data Protection Manager 但*未安裝* SP1，則儲存在設定資料庫與內容資料庫的設定與網站集合，都會以伺服器陣列備份的一部分加以備份，但不會備份搜尋資料庫與索引。若要在執行 System Center Data Protection Manager 但*未安裝* SP1 的情況下備份及復原搜尋，請使用本白皮書中所提供的程序與指令碼。
