Name Element for Parameter (ADF)

Specifies the name of an application parameter.

Characteristic	Description
Data type	string, between 1 and 255 characters in length.
Default value	None.
Occurrence	Required once per Parameter element.
Updates	Can be modified, but not added or deleted, when updating the application.

Child elements	None.

Do not include the % character around the parameter name. The % character is used only where you want to replace the parameter with its value.

The following example shows how to specify the name of a parameter.

<Name>SysName</Name>

Use the string %SysName% anywhere you want to use the value of this parameter.
