setAsciiStream Method (SQLServerPreparedStatement)

Sets the designated parameter number to the given InputStream object with the given number of bytes.

public final void setAsciiStream(int n,
                                 java.io.InputStream x,
                                 int length)

An int that indicates the parameter number.

x

An InputStream object.

length

The number of bytes.

This setAsciiStream method is specified by the setAsciiStream method in the java.sql.PreparedStatement interface.

When the length is set to -1, a stream is allowed, but a specific length is not required. If the InputStream passes a stream of a different length than what is specified, the JDBC driver will stop the update while it tries to preserve the connection and the current transaction.
