Shared clipboard
On Windows Server 2003 family operating systems, Terminal Services provides seamless clipboard sharing. Clipboard contents can be available to applications locally on a user's computer and to programs within a Terminal Services session.
The shared clipboard synchronizes its contents with the local clipboard and can be viewed using the Windows ClipBook Viewer (clipbrd.exe). For example, you can copy text from a document within a session, and paste it into a document on your local computer. You cannot, however, copy and paste files or folders. The shared clipboard is intended only for data such as text and graphics.
Clipboard sharing can be disabled using Terminal Services Group Policies or Terminal Services Configuration. For more information, see Managing drive, printer, and device mappings for clients.
For more information about the ClipBook Viewer, see ClipBook Viewer overview.
