Getsid Syntax
Applies To: Windows Server 2003, Windows Server 2003 R2, Windows Server 2003 with SP1, Windows Server 2003 with SP2
GetSID Syntax
GetSID uses the following syntax:
getsid*\\Server1Account\\Server2Account*
Parameters
- \\Server1
Specifies the name of the server on which the accounts are found. Enter a netbios or FQDN. Account is the account SID.
- Account
Specifies the name of a user or group account. Getsid will display the SID of this account. If the account name has a space in it, you must use quotation marks.
- \\Server2
Specifies the name of the server on which the accounts are found. Enter a netbios or FQDN.
Sample Usage
getsid \\reskitdc2 administrator \\reskitdc1 administrator
getsid \\reskitdc2 "domain admins" \\reskitdc1 "domain admins"
