Configuring and Reviewing Settings in a Failover Cluster
Applies To: Windows Server 2008
The default settings that are created by wizards for failover clustering work well for most clusters. However, you can change a cluster's settings—for example, modify heartbeat, DNS, or network settings. The following topics provide information about settings that you would commonly change for certain failover cluster designs. An additional topic provides information about forcing quorum, an action that can be necessary for a multi-site cluster design that uses an odd number of nodes (instead of the recommended design, an even number of nodes).
This section includes the following topics:
Configure Heartbeat and DNS Settings in a Multi-Site Failover Cluster
Configure Quorum in a Single-Site or Multi-Site Failover Cluster
Force Quorum in a Single-Site or Multi-Site Failover Cluster
