Human Resources allows you to manage HR in a rich, browser-based user experience with workspaces that are tailored to specific roles within Finance and operations apps.
To begin using the Human Resources capabilities in finance and operations apps, you must have the following components configured:
Legal entity setup and configuration.
- You must have at least one legal entity configured to use HR functionality. If you have multiple legal entities, you can configure parameters to be shared across companies, such as position records or number sequences.
Create an organizational hierarchy.
- The organizational hierarchy is used to represent the relationships between the organizations that make up your business. You can have multiple organizational hierarchies that are used for things like financial reporting and human resources.
Set up a global address book.
- The global address book is a central repository for your master data, like your employees.
- The global address book stores human resource data such as name, address, and contact information for a party. It also helps to create relationships for this data within your organization. For instance, you might have employees set up as vendors in finance and operations apps for accounts payable payments to employees.
Create automated processes, workflows, and tasks to improve consistency, compliance, and ease of use.
