單行編輯控制項支援透過 IUIAutomationValuePattern以程式設計方式存取其內容。不過，多行編輯控制項不支援此控制項模式，而且必須使用 IUIAutomationTextPattern來擷取其內容。

此屬性不支援擷取格式化資訊或子字串值。 IUIAutomationTextPattern 也必須用於這些案例。
