關於 64 位作業系統上的 Windows Installer

Windows Installer 會在使用 32 位或 64 位 Windows 的電腦上以服務的形式執行。 2.0 版之前的安裝程式版本只能在 32 位作業系統上安裝和管理 32 位 Windows Installer 套件。 請注意，您無法在 32 位作業系統上公告或安裝 64 位應用程式。

Windows Installer 套件必須指定為 32 位或 64 位套件;它不能指定為中性。 在使用 64 位作業系統的電腦上，Windows Installer 服務裝載于 64 位進程，可同時安裝 32 位和 64 位套件。 Windows Installer 在執行 64 位作業系統的電腦上安裝三種類型的 Windows Installer 套件：

  • 僅包含 32 位元件的 32 位套件。
  • 包含一些 32 位元件的 64 位套件。
  • 64 位套件，只包含 64 位元件。
