Slide transition timing doesn't work when Recording in PowerPoint

I created a PowerPoint presentation with automatic timing for animations and slide transitions. It works beautifully when I play it in slide show mode with "Use Timings" selected. I would like to record the presentation to an MP4 video, but when I select "Record from Beginning", the presentation does not automatically play and all the transition timing settings get cleared. I was able to record a similar presentation last year without issue, so maybe this is a bug. Has anyone heard of this problem before, and if so, how do I work around it?

I understand you're experiencing an issue where your slide timings and animations are cleared when using the “Record from Beginning” feature in PowerPoint.

To preserve your existing timings and successfully export your presentation to video:

Do not use “Record from Beginning.”
Instead, go to File > Export > Create a Video.
Choose “Use Recorded Timings and Narrations”.
Select your preferred video quality and timing settings.
Click Create Video and save the file as an MP4.

This method uses your pre-set timings without requiring re-recording and should produce the desired result. If you need to add narration, we recommend using “Record Slide Show” with caution, as it may overwrite your current timings.
