We would like to change the payment method from our company credit card to our company debit card. However, the contact person of our Microsoft account, has moved on from our company and we lost the login credentials. We have 5 Mircosoft licenses purchased and would like to seek for your advice on the change of the account contact person and the update of the payment details. Kindly let me know if you need any further information from our side. Thank you!

Hi @Benjamin Lin

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I understand that you are trying to update the payment method for your Microsoft 365 subscription, but the Global Administrator associated with the account has left your company and you no longer have access to the login credentials.

First, please check if there’s anyone else in your organization who still have Global Administrator privileges. If so, they can follow the instructions provided in the link below to update the payment method:

Manage payment methods for Microsoft business accounts | Microsoft Learn

If the only Global Administrator has left the company and no one else has access, the best next step would be to contact Microsoft Support Team directly. You can find the appropriate customer service phone number for your region at the following link:

Customer service phone numbers - Microsoft Support

When contacting support, please be prepared to provide documentation that verifies your ownership of the account. This may include purchase receipts, domain ownership information, or previous payment details.

As a forum moderator, I do not have access to customer account information due to privacy and security policies, but I’ll do my best to help guide you through it and I hope the above steps help point you in the right direction.

If you have any other concerns, please feel free to let us know.

    Hello,

That's quite a pickle you are in.

The easiest way is to try this person who has left and asked for the credential. And you might want to review your company's off-boarding process in the future to make sure this won't happen again.

If you absolutely cannot do the above, call the phone number listed in the link the agent gave you above. Important Tip: When using the automated system, clearly say “Commercial Account and Billing Support”. This is the key phrase that routes your call to a live agent. If you use custom domain, you might need to prepare for domain verification as part of the process, you may need to verify your domain by adding a TXT record to your DNS settings. After this step, you’ll likely receive a follow-up call and email confirming the reset is complete. So, I hope you have access to your domain hosting service.
