Why can't I add a row or series of rows to print on subsequent pages?

I understand how important it is to have your header rows appear on every printed page, especially when working with files exported from SpotOn. I’m happy to guide you through the steps to make this work. 

1/ If multiple sheets are selected, Excel disables the option to repeat rows. 

• Right-click any sheet tab and select Ungroup Sheets. 

2/ Try to switch to Page Layout View 

• Go to the View tab on the ribbon. 
• Under Workbook Views, select Page Layout. 

3/ You can set Rows to Repeat at Top 

• Click the Page Layout tab on the ribbon. 
• In the Page Setup group, select Print Titles. 
• In the Rows to repeat at top box, click the selector and choose the header row(s) (for example, $1:$1 for the first row). 
• Click OK to apply. 

4/ Try to remove Sheet Protection (If Enabled) 

• Go to the Review tab on the ribbon. 
• Select Unprotect Sheet if the option is available. 

5/ If you were editing a cell, press Esc to exit. 

Moreover, files exported from POS systems sometimes include hidden settings that prevent changes. If the steps above don’t work: 

• Copy all your data into a new blank workbook. 
• Save the new file and repeat the steps above. 

Once these steps are complete, your header rows should print on every page.
