Hello Glauco,
Thank you for reaching out.
I understand how frustrating it can be to get stuck in a verification loop when trying to access Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
Here are some solutions for you to try to fix the problem:
Option 1: Use Account Recovery
- Go to the https://account.live.com/password/reset.
- Select “I don’t have any of these” when asked for verification options.
- Follow the prompts to verify your identity using backup email or phone (if previously set up).
- If successful, update your security info and reconfigure the Authenticator app.
Option 2: Contact Your Organization’s IT Admin
Since this is a work account (Microsoft 365), your IT administrator can:
- Reset your Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) settings.
- Temporarily disable MFA to allow you to sign in and reconfigure the Authenticator app.
- Add alternative verification methods (e.g., SMS or email).
You may want to contact your IT support team directly for this.
Option 3: Reinstall and Reconfigure Authenticator
If you still have access to the Authenticator app:
- Uninstall and reinstall the app.
- Sign in using your Microsoft account.
- If prompted, scan the QR code from the Microsoft 365 security settings page (if accessible).
