Unfortunately it did not resolve the problem. I solved it by switching back to Classic Outlook and just hope and pray that Microsoft does not force us to go to the New Outlook until they have managed to make it workable. I do not understand how you can create a new version that has less functionality than the existing version. Thanks for the assistance
meeting changes in new outlook do not reflect
When an organiser of a meeting changes the date or time of the meeting and I accept the change, the new meeting info is not shown in my calendar. The old meeting time and date still reflect.

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Q&A forum.
I understand that when a meeting organizer changes a meeting and you accept the update, your calendar in the new Outlook for Windows isn't updating. I know how inconvenient it is when your calendar doesn't reflect the correct information. I'm happy to help you figure this out.
Step 1. Workarounds
Before we dive into a full reset, here are a few things you can try that might solve the problem:
- Restart the Outlook app: Simply close and reopen the new Outlook for Windows. Sometimes this is all it takes to trigger a new sync with the server.
- Restart your computer: A full restart can resolve temporary glitches that may be preventing the app from syncing correctly.
- Check Outlook on the web: Log in to your calendar via a web browser at outlook.com and see if the new meeting time is reflected there. This will help us determine if the issue is with your account or specifically with your desktop application.
Step 2. Reset the App
If the issue persists, the most common solution for sync problems in the new Outlook is to reset the app. This process often resolves underlying synchronization issues.
Disclaimer: While this process is generally safe, we always recommend backing up any important data before performing a reset.
Here is how you can do it:
- Close Outlook completely.
- Go to Windows Settings > Apps > Installed apps.
- Search for Outlook (new).
- Click the three dots next to it and select Advanced options.
- Click the Reset button.
Once you have completed these steps, open Outlook again and check if the meeting changes are now showing up correctly.
We appreciate you taking the time to work on this issue. Please feel free to let me know how it goes. I look forward to your next update for further analysis.
