Hi!
I need to direct some polls to people in my team through an e-mail. However, the "poll" option does not appear as something feasible in my ribbon. Should I download an extension or something like it?

Hi @Lucas Correia

Thank you very much for your detailed response and for outlining your experience so clearly. Based on your description, I’d like to provide the following information regarding the poll feature in Classic Outlook:

The poll feature is powered by the Microsoft Forms add-in (often called “Quick Poll”). If the Poll button is not visible in your ribbon, please follow these steps to enable it:

1/ Open Outlook (Classic Desktop version).

2/ Go to File > Options.

3/ In the Outlook Options window, select Customize Ribbon from the left-hand menu.

4/ On the right panel, choose the tab where you want to add the “Poll” button (e.g., Insert).

5/ On the left panel, under “Choose commands from”, select “All Commands” from the dropdown list.

6/ Search for “Poll” or “Polls by Microsoft Forms” in the list.

7/ Select the “Poll” command and click Add >> to add it to the selected tab.

8/ Click OK to save your changes.

Note: If the Poll icon is present but grayed out, click into the body of your email draft. The button activates only when the message body is in focus.

I hope this helps clarify the situation regarding the missing 'Poll' option. I'm happy to assist and truly hope the information provided has been helpful. Please feel free to reach out anytime if you need further support.

    Hi Chris!
    Hope this finds you well!

Appreciate your quick response and your will to help! As to those 3 questions you originally asked, please, take a look at the below:

    • What type of Microsoft license are you currently using (e.g., Microsoft 365 Personal, Business Standard, E3, etc.)?

    A: I Believe it would be M365

    • Is this a personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com) or a business/work account (e.g., through Microsoft 365 or your organization's domain)? The interface differs between these two types of accounts, so knowing this information will help me support you more effectively.   A: It is a business account through Microsoft 365
    • Have you previously been able to use the Poll feature, or is this your first time trying?  A: Although it is my first time trying it, I've asked some of my colleagues who use the same domain as me and their e-mails work with this function just fine

I've done a test where I requested one of my coworkers to send me a poll through Outlook and it doesn't appear as a poll, it just redirects me to a Microsoft Forms. Meanwhile, for the rest of them, it pops up as something a bit like this:

Let me know if any of this helps or if you need any more information.

    Hi @Lucas Correia

    Welcome to Microsoft Q&A forum.

Thank you for reaching out regarding the issue with the missing "Poll" option in your Outlook ribbon.

To better understand and resolve the issue, could you please provide the following details:

    • What type of Microsoft license are you currently using (e.g., Microsoft 365 Personal, Business Standard, E3, etc.)?
    • Is this a personal account (e.g., @hotmail.com, @outlook.com) or a business/work account (e.g., through Microsoft 365 or your organization's domain)? The interface differs between these two types of accounts, so knowing this information will help me support you more effectively.
    • Have you previously been able to use the Poll feature, or is this your first time trying?

Once I have this information, I’ll be better positioned to guide you through the next steps.
