I have tried restarting the game, restarting my mac, turning it on and off etc. Still it wont allow me to joins servers, my friends or anything.

Dear Heine Aune

Thank you for contacting to Q&A Forum.

I know how exciting it is to play Minecraft with friends, and it can be really disappointing when things don’t work as expected. Don’t worry, we’ll work through this together and get you back to building and exploring with your friends.

Here are a few steps that usually resolve this issue:

1. Confirm Your Sign-In

Open the Minecraft Launcher and ensure you’re signed in with the same Microsoft account you used to purchase the game.

2. Check Microsoft Account Privacy Settings

Go to Microsoft Privacy & Online Safety using any web browser (including on your Mac).

Under Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11 devices Online Safety, make sure:

  • Join Multiplayer Games > Allow
  • You can add friends > Allow

Under Privacy & online safety, make sure:

  • Join multiplayer games > Allow
  • You can join cross-network play > Allow
  • Others can communicate with voice, text, or invites > Everyone/Friends

Click Save after making changes.

3.  Family Settings

If your account is part of a Microsoft Family Group, a parent may need to adjust permissions for multiplayer.

4. Check Network and Firewall

  • Make sure your internet connection is stable.
  • If you have a firewall or antivirus, allow Minecraft through it or temporarily disable it.
  • Restart your router and try again.

5. Temporary Connection Bypass

If the problem persists, a reported workaround is to temporarily disable your internet connection before launching Minecraft and then re-enable it as soon as the title screen appears.

For more information, please visit this link Troubleshoot Unable to Join Multiplayer Games in Minecraft | Minecraft Help

Once you’ve completed these steps, restart Minecraft and try joining a server again. If you still can’t connect, please reply with any error messages or screenshots, and I’ll help you further. While our initial response may not fully resolve the issue, we truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution.

Thank you for your patience and for being part of the Minecraft community. We’ll make sure you can enjoy the game with your friends soon!
