Hello,

After updating Teams from version 25036.804.4102.7193 to version 25332.1210.4188.1171, which happens automatically, Teams keeps crashing and restarting multiple times.

To fix this, I tried to Repair & Reset, cleared all the cache files and reinstalled Teams. However, nothing seems to improve.

    Dear @Bjorn van Schijndel,

Good day. Thank you for posting your question in the Microsoft Q&A forum!

I sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you’ve experienced. I truly appreciate your patience during this time and thank you for bearing with us.

Currently, I’ve noticed that many users are experiencing the same issue when using Microsoft Teams version 25332. To resolve this problem more quickly and effectively, I recommend submitting a problem report directly within Teams so that the product team can review and address it as soon as possible. This will help the Teams product team diagnose and fix the issue faster.

    • In Microsoft Teams, click the Settings and more (…) button in the upper-right corner.
    • Hover over Feedback.
    • Select Report a problem.

    Untitled

    • A feedback window will appear.
    • Choose the appropriate category, describe the issue, and attach screenshots or logs if needed.
    • Indicate whether Microsoft can contact you regarding your feedback.
    • Click Submit.

Additionally, I have found a temporary solution shared by another user who experienced the same issue. This workaround has been tested successfully. You may try it and verify if it works for you

    • When Teams crashes again, run Command Prompt as an administrator, then execute: netsh winsock reset

    Untitled

    • After completing the command, restart the system. Teams no longer crashes.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your understanding and co-operation are highly appreciated. I am looking forward to your response.

Wishing you a wonderful day ahead!

Astrill seemed to be the problem. After removing Astrill, Teams works again.

**LSPs needed for Teams is conflicting with Astrill LSPs.

Press and hold ctrl key of your keyboard and click the 3 bars at the top left corner of Astrill

Then click HELP then click LSP Uninstall

Once done, close Astrill and restart the PC

    After restart, check again.

Another method: When Teams crashes again, run Command Prompt as an administrator, then execute netsh winsock reset. After completing the command, restart your computer. Teams will no longer crash.
