Hi All,

I have a room mailbox (for example, room1(at)contoso.com). On the room mailbox calendar, the meeting subject is not displayed; instead, it shows the organizer’s name.

Could you please guide me on how to change this setting so that the meeting subject is displayed? How can i check the current settings

Hi @Rising Flight
Thank you for posting question to Microsoft Q&A Forum.

I tried to run this PowerShell, it's slightly different from Q&A Assist's suggestion.

Set-CalendarProcessing -Identity "******@contoso.com" -DeleteSubject $false -AddOrganizerToSubject $false

However, I was able to see the changes like you asked for, the room mailbox will display title of the meeting. However, these changes are not retroactive. They will only apply to new meeting requests sent to the room after the setting is changed. Existing meetings will still show the organizer's name.

I hope this will help you when it comes to confirmation. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

To display the meeting subject instead of the organizer's name on a room mailbox calendar, you need to adjust the calendar processing settings for that room mailbox. You can do this using the Exchange Management Shell with the Set-CalendarProcessing cmdlet.

Here’s an example command that you can use to change the setting:

    Set-CalendarProcessing "******@contoso.com" -RemoveOldMeetingMessages $true -AddOrganizerToSubject $false

This command will ensure that the meeting subject is displayed instead of the organizer's name. Make sure to replace ******@contoso.com with the actual email address of your room mailbox.

After running the command, you can verify the changes by checking the calendar settings again.
