I am assuming that you want to preserve the different headers and footers.

To do this, the two must be in different Sections.

  1. I would create a new blank document.
  2. Then, insert a next-page or odd-page Section break. This is under Breaks on the layout tab.
  3. Then, in the new section, insert the content from the document you wish to be second. You can do this by inserting an object > Text from file, or by simply opening the document, selecting all (Ctrl+A) and pasting.
  4. Go into each header and footer and make sure that it is not linked to previous.
  5. Then, insert the text from the first document.
