Welcome Lincoln Kempshall,

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A forum.

I understand how frustrating it can be when you type common English words in Windows Search, the web results are unexpectedly showing Chinese websites, even though Microsoft Edge itself does not behave this way.

You can try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Option 1: Check Windows region settings

  • Go to Settings > Time & Language > Language & region > select Language & region
  • Make sure Country or region matches your actual location and Regional format matches your preferred language

Option 2: Review Microsoft edge region and language settings

  • Open Microsoft Edge > click three-dot and select Settings > Language > Ensure Region and Language are set correctly, then save changes

Option 3: Sign out and back into Windows

  • Sign out of your Windows account
  • Restart the device and sign back in to refresh search-related services

Option 4: Restart Windows Search service

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + Esc to open Task Manager
  • Go to Services
  • Restart Windows Search

The above steps are provided based on the information I have learned so far, I wish that will be helpful to you. If your problem still cannot be solved by these steps, you could tell me about the specific situation in the next reply. I will continue to assist you in solving the problem.
