Using New Outlook on Windows for personal email, calendar, and contact management
I'm happy to help you. I understand that after a new version of Outlook was installed, you are no longer able to receive emails on your Windows device.
1, Confirm the issue is app‑specific
- Sign in to your mailbox using a browser at Outlook on the web
- If new emails appear there, it confirms the account is working and the issue is limited to the New Outlook app on this PC.
2, Remove and re‑add the account in New Outlook
In New Outlook:
- Go to Settings > Accounts > Email accounts
- Remove the affected account
- Close Outlook completely
- Reopen Outlook and add the account again using your full email address and password This refreshes local sync data and often resolves one‑device issues.
3, Check for app updates
In New Outlook, go to Settings > About and ensure the New Outlook app is fully up to date. Outdated builds can cause syncing to stop on a single device.
4, Switch back to Classic Outlook
If the issue continues, use the toggle in the top‑right corner to switch back to Classic Outlook and check whether new mail arrives there. If Classic Outlook works, this confirms the issue is specific to the New Outlook experience on this PC. Please refer to: Revert to classic Outlook
Please feel free to let me know how it goes. Thanks for your time and understanding.
