Trio Office is not a Microsoft product, it is a free Office suite available on the Microsoft Store, while it is compatible with Microsoft Office documents, and allows you to open Edit and create documents, it does not contain the full functionality in the individual Office apps that are available in the Microsoft Office apps.

Trio Office is a third‑party app and does not provide the full Microsoft Word feature set. The missing Group tool and inability to multi‑select images come from limitations of that app, not from Microsoft Word itself.

To use image grouping and multi‑selection, install and use genuine Microsoft Word (as part of Microsoft 365 or a standalone Office license). In supported Word versions on Windows or macOS, grouping works only when:

    1. More than one object (shape or picture) is selected.
    2. The selection does not include tables, worksheets, or GIF images.
    3. For SVG icons, they are first converted to shapes.
    4. On Mac, none of the objects has Word Wrap set to In Line with Text.

    On macOS, for example:

    1. Press and hold Command and click each shape or picture to select multiple objects.
    2. Go to the Shape Format or Picture Format tab.
    3. Select Group > Group (or use Arrange if Group is hidden).

If the Group button is unavailable, verify the conditions above and adjust the objects (e.g., change wrap options or remove unsupported objects) before trying again.
