My lenovo laptop won’t start

My lenovo laptop isn’t started and when I try to reset it, it says “Your device ran into a problem and couldn’t be repaired. Click or press Enter to see other recovery options. Couldn’t connect to the network.”

And then when I press enter, it takes me to a blue screen which says exit and continue to windows, turn off your pc, quick machine recovery and troubleshoot. I’ve tried all of those and they don’t work.

I was really hoping if someone would know what to do because I really need my laptop.

Welcome Simi Amole,

I understand how frustrating it can be when your Lenovo laptop running Windows Home is unable to start normally and keeps returning to the recovery screen with an error stating that the device could not be repaired and could not connect to the network.

Before proceeding, I need to narrow this down with a couple of quick questions to better understand the situation:

  • Do you know which Windows version is installed on the device (Windows 10 Home or Windows 11 Home)?
  • Did this issue start after a recent Windows update, power interruption, or forced shutdown?

In the meantime, you can try the workaround steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Step 1: From the blue recovery screen try go to Windows recovery environment

  • Holding Shift > select Power > choose Restart
  • Then, choose Troubleshoot > Advanced options
  • Select Startup Repair and let Windows attempt an automatic fix

Step 2: If Startup Repair does not work, go back to Advanced options.

  • Select Uninstall Updates
  • Try uninstalling the latest quality update first
  • If the issue persists, try uninstalling the latest feature update

Step 3: Go back to Advanced options again.

  • Select System Restore
  • Choose a restore point dated before the problem started, if available

Step 4: If the device reports it cannot connect to the network, return to Advanced options.

  • Select Startup Settings
  • Choose Restart
  • After restart, press the number key for Enable Safe Mode and check if the system boots

I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.
