Driver Support is a third-party service that is not affiliated with Microsoft. To stop its recurring charges and protect the credit card, follow these steps:
- Cancel directly with Driver Support
- Go to the Driver Support website (www.driversupport.com).
- Sign in to the Driver Support account.
- Go to the account or subscription/billing page.
- Use the option there to cancel the subscription or turn off automatic payments.
- Block further charges at the bank or card issuer
- Contact the bank or credit card provider using the number on the back of the card.
- Report the recurring Driver Support charges and request that they be blocked.
- Ask whether a new card number should be issued to prevent future unauthorized or unwanted charges.
- Do not pay for driver software in future
- Drivers are always free from the PC or device manufacturer’s official support website. There is no need to pay a third party for driver downloads.
If any charge appears to be unauthorized or cannot be canceled through Driver Support, the bank or card issuer should handle dispute/chargeback options.
