annual rollover debit/credit cards rejected

adviser told me probably because using uk cards while living in spain...suggested using spanish card.

tried to use spanish card but current uk address format refuses to change to spanish address...let's me input spanish card details but won't let me put in any country other than uk in address field...thus rejects spanish postal code as being icorrect format...

OK...I solved the problem...the person using the computer...me, in Spain...must be the "processor" of the card. So, being in Spain I could neither have the UK card processed automatically in UK...nor could I manually enter UK card/s on my computer in Spain...as the "UK" field on the "enter your address details"...remained permanently blanked out.

I put my VPN to London...so I became a UK computer processing a UK card...and Bob's your uncle!

    Hi Guy Thornton

Could you please confirm whether you’re using a business account or a personal account (such as outlook.com, hotmail.com, or live.com)?

If you’re using a Microsoft 365 business subscription, the payment method must match the country/region of your tenant. For example, a UK-based tenant requires a UK-issued card and UK billing address format. You can refer to this article for more information: Manage payment methods for Microsoft business accounts | Microsoft Learn

If you’re using a personal subscription, based on my research, the payment method may need to align with your Microsoft Store region. If your account is still set to the UK, this could explain why a Spanish card and postal code are being rejected. To get more clarity on this, I recommend contacting Microsoft Support via the Contact - Microsoft Support so they can check your account and guide you on the next steps.

    Hope this helps clarify.

I'm sure Microsoft would be glad to accept any payment card but, like all other organizations, they must comply with current laws.
