Are you seeing ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK in the URL when you try and schedule the exam?

ERROR_VUE_WIDE_BLOCK is typically because your account has been blocked by Pearson Vue which normally happens because of multiple failed payments. You need to contact Pearson Vue support using the link on https://aka.ms/CertificationSupport to get the block lifted.

Follow these steps and checks to schedule the exam and address the issue on the “Transfer to Pearson VUE” form:

    1. Start scheduling from Microsoft Learn
      • Go to the certification or exam details page for the exam.
      • Click the Schedule exam / Schedule through Pearson VUE button in the Schedule exam section.
      • If multiple providers appear, choose Schedule with Pearson VUE (for standard Microsoft Certification exams).
    2. Sign in and complete Learn profile details
      • Sign in to the Microsoft Learn profile when prompted (recommended: personal Microsoft account).
      • If prompted, add a legal name and ensure it matches the name on the legal ID; otherwise the exam cannot be taken.
      • Fill in all required fields (address, phone number, contact email) on the “Transfer to Pearson VUE” page, then select Submit. This information is required for Pearson VUE and is not stored by Microsoft.
    3. If the form will not submit and shows no error
      • This behavior is commonly associated with an issue on the Pearson VUE side, often related to the account.
      • In similar cases, users who had failed or blocked payments when scheduling an exam found that their Pearson VUE account was locked, which prevented successful transfer/scheduling even though the form looked correct.
      • The resolution in those cases was to contact Pearson VUE support directly and have them check and unlock the account. Once unlocked, scheduling worked normally.
    4. Contact support to fix account issues
      • Use the Microsoft Certification support entry point: Microsoft Certification Support or the Pearson VUE contact options referenced from the exam scheduling pages.
      • Explain that the Transfer to Pearson VUE form does not submit and no error is displayed; ask them to verify whether the Pearson VUE account is blocked (for example, due to previous failed payments) and to remove any block.
    5. After support resolves the issue
      • Return to the exam’s Schedule through Pearson VUE button on Microsoft Learn.
      • Re-complete the Transfer to Pearson VUE form and submit.
      • You should then be redirected to Pearson VUE to choose delivery method (test center or online), date, and time, and complete payment if required.

If the issue persists even after Pearson VUE confirms the account is fine, continue working with Microsoft Certification Support via the support link so they can investigate the Learn–Pearson VUE integration for the specific profile.
