Microsoft Rewards streak broken due to no fault of my own, can you please restore?

Hello, My Microsoft Rewards streak was unexpectedly reset to 1, even though I completed all of my daily activities and my full quota of searches. I have maintained my streak consistently for over 300 days without ever missing a day.

On the day the streak broke, I completed:

All three Daily Set activities

My full search quota

All other available point-earning activities

Despite this, the system did not register my completed day and reset my streak. This appears to match the known issue where long-running streaks (200+ days) are sometimes broken due to a system error or a sync delay.

Could you please restore my streak? I completed everything required, and the reset was not due to any missed activity on my part.

Thank you very much for your help.

Hi Teresa Rudolph,

I completely understand how frustrating this must feel, especially after maintaining a Microsoft Rewards streak for over 300 days. A streak like that takes a lot of time, consistency and patience, so I can understand why having it reset unexpectedly would be very disappointing.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators, contributors, including external Microsoft employees, cannot directly intervene in Microsoft product features, restore Rewards streaks, or access back-end/account systems. My role here is limited to providing general technical guidance on reported issues, requests, or ideas.

Since this appears to be an account-specific Microsoft Rewards tracking issue, the best path is to contact Microsoft Rewards Support directly so they can review your account activity and check whether the streak can be restored or adjusted.

You can submit a request here: Microsoft Rewards Support

To help them review the case more clearly, you may want to include as much detail as possible, such as:

  • The exact date the streak reset
  • Your approximate streak count before it reset
  • A note that all three Daily Set activities were completed
  • A note that your search quota and other available point-earning activities were also completed
  • Screenshots, if you have any, showing completed activities, green checkmarks, or the reset streak
  • Whether you used any VPN, different device, browser profile, or time zone change around that date

I know this may not be the immediate fix you were hoping for, but providing these details gives the Rewards Support team the best chance to investigate what happened on the account side. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Microsoft Rewards streaks cannot be restored manually through the community or self-service tools.

There are only a few documented reasons why a streak resets:

    1. Daily sets were not completed on time.
    2. A VPN or a device with a different time zone was used, since streaks are based on the device’s time zone.
    3. The daily set was completed while signed in to a different account.

If none of these apply and the streak still reset, only the Microsoft Rewards support team can review the account and determine whether anything can be adjusted. Community members and general support articles do not provide a way to reinstate or edit streak counts.

    To proceed:

    1. Verify the basics on the next days
      • Make sure the correct Microsoft account is signed in.
      • Avoid VPNs or devices with mismatched time zones.
      • Confirm the Daily set shows a green checkmark after completion.
    2. Contact Microsoft Rewards Support
      • Go to the Rewards Support page at https://rewards.bing.com/support.
      • Sign in with the affected Microsoft account.
      • Submit a ticket describing the date the streak broke, what was completed that day, and that all activities showed as done.

If the account is under any restriction or policy concern (for example, suspected VPN, automation, or multiple accounts), the Rewards team may also review it under the account policies and decide what actions are possible.
