Microsoft Family Safety stuck in a "sign in to send your request" loop

Normally, I lock down my child's gaming apps until he sends me a request and I approve it. Lately, however, it appears that it is asking him to "sign in to send your request." An example is provided below:
User's image

Continuing by clicking "Sign in," this redirect appears.
User's image Clicking "Yes" opens another app, asking him to sign in again.
User's image Clicking "Sign in" on this page opens a window that asks him to enter his PIN for his passkey or his password. Entering either and then pressing Enter closes all associated windows. When clicking the app again, it returns to the first page.
Restarting the computer and disabling and re-enabling activity sharing does not work. What can I do to fix this?

Hi, Skylar Choi

This looks like the child’s Windows account has stopped completing its Family Safety verification. The PIN/password is accepted, but the updated sign-in state is not being saved, so the request window starts over.

Here are some suggestions you can try:

On the child’s PC, open Settings > Accounts > Your info. If Verify appears, select it and sign in with the child’s Microsoft account. If it does not appear, open Microsoft Edge, visit Family account verification, and complete the verification there.

Check Settings > Accounts > Family and confirm that the child uses the same Microsoft account listed in Family Safety and is a Standard user, not an administrator.

Press Windows key + R, enter cmd, then run: schtasks /run /tn "Microsoft\Windows\Shell\FamilySafetyRefreshTask" Restart the PC afterward. This refreshes the locally stored Family Safety status.

If it still loops, repair the app under Settings > Apps > Microsoft Family Safety > Advanced options > Repair. Use Reset only if Repair does not help. It is recommended that you temporarily grant time directly through the Family Safety website or mobile app while testing.

Thank you for your patience in reading, I hope this information has been helpful to you.
