The renewal period is open for 180 days before your expiry date. The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened. There are no exceptions.

My certification expired. What happens now? If your certification expires, you must earn the certification again by passing the required exam(s).

No. If the AZ-104 certification has expired, it can’t be renewed after the renewal opportunity has ended. The renewal window cannot be extended or reopened, and there are no exceptions.

To regain the certification, the required exam must be passed again.

For future renewals, the renewal assessment is available only when eligible within six months before the certification expires, and it is completed on Microsoft Learn.
