Cannot connect Copilot to Onedrive on iOS

I’m using Copilot on iOS and my personal @outlook.com account won’t complete the OneDrive connection. I can sign in successfully, but the redirect never finishes and Copilot stays stuck on “Connecting.”

I’ve already done all device-side steps:

– Reinstalled Copilot and OneDrive

– Signed out of OneDrive and rebuilt the token

– Cleared Safari data

– Reset network settings

– Disabled Wi‑Fi and tested on cellular

– No VPN, DNS profile, or content blocker

Since all on-device troubleshooting is exhausted, this appears to be an account-level identity metadata issue (MSA/AAD artifact or redirect permission problem).

Please escalate to the Microsoft Identity team to clear the identity metadata for my @outlook.com account so Copilot can consume the redirect token.

Hi Bill Rodriguez,

I understand how frustrating it must be to complete the sign-in successfully but still have Copilot remain stuck on “Connecting,” especially after you have already tried so many troubleshooting steps.

To help narrow this down, could you please confirm:

  • Which iOS version and Copilot app version are you currently using?
  • Does the same account connect to OneDrive successfully through Copilot on the web or another device?
  • Can you open and access your files normally in the standalone OneDrive app using that same account?
  • Do you see any error message or code or does the screen only remain on “Connecting”?

In the meantime, please make sure that iOS, Copilot, OneDrive and Microsoft Authenticator, if installed, are fully updated. You can also try temporarily setting Safari as the default browser, restarting the iPhone and then initiating the connection again from Copilot. If possible, testing the same connection on another iOS device may also help determine whether the behavior follows the account or the device.

Please note that this is a user-to-user support forum. Moderators and contributors do not have access to account authentication records, tokens, or identity metadata, and I cannot directly escalate a case to the Microsoft Identity team.

Since you have already completed the main device-side troubleshooting, if the issue also occurs on another device, the best next step would be to contact Microsoft Support so they can review the account-specific sign-in and connection behavior.

While my initial response may not fully resolve the issue, I truly appreciate your cooperation as we work together toward identifying the most effective solution. Thank you so much for your understanding.
