hello, I have 2 accounts, 1 is used for my xbox account and uses an old email account that I haven't used in years (I still know the login) the other is a newer account with stuff I use for my new surface pro, but the email and phone number associated with it is my permanent info. The question: is it possible to move my xbox account with all the acheivements and apps onto my newer more widely used account? The last resort would be loging into the old xbox only account on my new surface, but is that is my only option I can and will.

Thank you!

Hi Elsie Miller,

I understand why you would want to consolidate your accounts, especially when one is used for gaming and the other for personal or device-related activities.

At this time, Microsoft accounts cannot be merged, and Xbox profiles, including game purchases, achievements, subscriptions, and saved progress, remain linked to the Microsoft account on which they were originally created. Because of this design, the content from one account cannot be transferred to another account.

If your goal is to keep your Xbox data while using a different email address, you may want to consider adding a new email alias to the account that currently owns the Xbox profile and making it your primary sign-in address. This allows you to use a different email for sign-in while retaining access to your existing Xbox content.

I realize this may not be the outcome you were hoping for, but I hope this helps clarify the available options.
