I am struggling to log in to my personal account as the outlook app is linked to the organisation I used to work for but I no longer have access to this account so I cannot leave the organisation and I just want to log in to my personal account via the app. I have tried deleting and reinstalling and I don’t have any other Microsoft apps downloaded but I just can’t keep my personal account on the app as it wants to replace it with my old works account. I really need some help with this thank you

Hi Steph

Thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A support forum.

Based on your description, I believe your issue might fall into one of two scenarios:

  • Scenario 1: Your email domain might still be registered within your former company's tenant, potentially being deactivated or having its sign-in blocked.
  • Scenario 2: Your email address may exist as a Guest User account within that tenant, which prevents you from logging in as a personal account.

In either of these scenarios, you will need to contact the Global Administrator of your former organization and ask for their help to remove your account's association with their tenant, specifically ensuring it's no longer in the former tenant.

Hope you will solve the problem soon.
