I have 2 tenant directories, and 3 Azure Subscriptions.

Unfortunately, an important bill that should be paid by the credit (sponsorship) doesn't come at the right place!

Do you know how to manage this situation?

I tried to move the subscription at the right place. But, it has not changed the situation.

=> The 2 billing accounts are in reality the same person.

Do you know to manage the situation to be able to pay the bill with the correct account?

once you have signed in, please click onto support on the left-hand side of the screen.

Then create a support request with the billing team. They will be able to look into this on their end and make changes.

If not, you may have the new experience turned on. You can turn this off via the button at the top of the window.

Moving a subscription to a different tenant does not change its billing relationship. Billing is tied to the billing account, which is separate from the tenant.

Each Azure subscription is linked to a billing profile (under a billing account).

Microsoft Sponsorship credits (like from MSDN, CSP, or EA) are assigned to specific billing accounts.

Even if you move a subscription to another tenant, the billing profile stays the same unless explicitly changed.

Check where your Sponsorship credits are assigned

Go to the Azure Portal → Cost Management + Billing

On the left, choose Billing scopes or Billing profiles.

You’ll see which billing account has the sponsorship.

You must ensure the subscription is under the billing profile that has the sponsorship credit.

If both billing accounts belong to the same person or organization, you can do a billing ownership transfer

I understand that have two billing accounts and one of them is associated with an Azure Sponsorship, but unable to pay or place it by these sponsorship credits.

follow the below steps to resolve your issue.

Sign in to the Azure portal.

Search for Cost Management + Billing.

In the billing scopes page, select the billing account for which you want to make the payment.

Select Payment methods from the left-hand side and then select Azure credits.

Note: In a billing account for a Microsoft customer agreement, you use billing profiles to manage your invoices and payment methods. A monthly invoice is generated for each billing profile, and you use the payment methods to pay the invoice. Credits that you acquire are assigned to a billing profile. When an invoice is generated for the billing profile, credits are automatically applied to the total charges to calculate the amount that you need to pay.

Hello,

I needed 2 Support Requests to solve the problem:

A technical one: the Provisionned capacity didn't stop when I removed the corresponding Resource.
A billing one: Move the sponsorship to the correct suscription, and manage existing bills.

Lesson learned: Moving a subscription can transform your "Billing accounts" from "Sponsorship" to "PayAsYouGo" without warning notice.

=> So, I couldn't do anything on my own to correct the situation.
