Unable to Update Legal Name After Booking PL-300 Certification Exam – Need Help

I have booked the Microsoft PL-300 certification exam. However, during the booking process, I mistakenly entered my legal name in the wrong format—as a count of first name, last name, and middle name. Because of this, I was unable to write the exam.

I have already updated the name in my Microsoft account and contacted the exam support team to reschedule the exam. However, the name has still not been updated in my certification profile.

Could you please assist me in updating my legal name in the profile so that it matches my government-issued ID?

To change your legal name in the Microsoft Certification profile for exam purposes, you need to sign in to your Microsoft Learn Profile and access the settings to update your legal name. If you see a message indicating you need to contact Certification Support, follow the provided link to submit a ticket. You may need to provide identification (Latin characters only) for verification purposes. Changes can take up to 72 hours to reflect across systems. 

You can also fill in the form https://aka.ms/credentialssupport to request support.
