Hi,

I have created a virtual machine on Azure and then I installed Active directory domain services role on this virtual machine. Now this virtual machine is my domain controller. Now how can I join my laptop to this domain?

    Exactly the same way as you would do on-premises.

    You most likely have the domain controller connected with just a private IP address; therefore, you need to ensure that the laptop has network connectivity via an express route or VPN gateway to the Azure vNet. You also need to ensure that the laptop can resolve the domain via DNS.

    @HASSAN BIN NASIR DAR
    Thank you for your post!

    When you mentioned installing Active Directory Domain Services, are you referring to Azure Active Directory Domain Services (Azure AD DS)? If so, you should be able to domain join your Azure VM to an Azure AD DS managed domain by following our Join a Windows Server virtual machine to Azure AD DS tutorial.
