Intune automatically imports and includes the Edge ADMX based policies so attempting to do this manually again will result in issues. WHy are you trying to import in what's already there?
Microsoft Imported ADMX Feature
Is the latest Intune feature on Import ADMX work for Microsoft product(like Edge) ADMX or is this feature meant to work only for 3rd-part ADMX ?

I tried testing it on a few policies, I am receiving errors:
The same setting when deployed from already existing Administrative Templates in Intune, it succeeds without any issue.

From your description, it seems the Edge ADMX imported failed. Please check if we met all the following requirements.
