Hi all,
it's my first time here and I'm in huge need of help. Starting from this summer my desktop got various type of bsod that involve one driver: ntoskrnl.exe. I tried to get some solution on the web but there are a lot of different problems related to the same driver, I tried some solution that didn't help, so I'm looking for help from someone more experienced than me.
Here a link to a log I did with V2 like I red on some other threads. Hope it works.

Thank you all for your help.

The last BSOD was on 12/09/2022.

    Looks good.

    That will complete the troubleshooting.

    Please mark the thread solved.

Double check to make sure that WDV has been turned off.

    Make a new restore point.

Monitor the computer for the next week using Reliability Monitor:

    All antivirus software have:

    true positives
    true negatives
    false positives
    false negatives
    accuracy

The definitions for malware are moving targets.

When rated each software differs month by month or year by year.

The ratings differ by the testing methods.

Every computer user visits different websites and has different email contacts.

Microsoft defender had had problems in its early days and I'd used Malwarebytes too.

For many years I've only used Microsoft defender.

If you choose Norton then its drivers can be stress tested.

24 - 48 hrs is sufficient for WDV testing.

If there are no BSOD then that almost always is again sufficient time to find misbehaving drivers.

Norton AV can be reinstalled and WDV can run for an additional 3 to 4 hours.

Logitech hardware can be reattached and software / drivers installed and WDV testing can be performed in a similar fashion.

Given that you live in an area subject to expected and unexpected power outages it is important that you protect your important files.

Consider making free backup images and saving the images to another disk drive or the cloud.

(Acronis, Aoemi, EaseUS, Macrium, Paragon, etc.)

Due to the storms of past days my neighborhood was involved in a blackout this night so this morning I turned on again the computer. I think that an ups would be a good present for Christmas...
Do i need to reset counter for the 48h stress test?

And I'm considering to reinstall the Norton after the end of the tests (just to not feel like a money waste buying it) but I have some doubt about it:
in your opinion @Docs , is it a good idea to run an antivirus like Norton or is useless to have it for an home-gaming computer?

    Thanks again

Another consideration is whether you will continue using Microsoft defender or whether you want to return to Norton.

If you want to return to Norton then reinstall the software after the 48 hour run.

Both Logitech and Norton can be reinstalled (different days).

And the WDV testing can continue as needed.

If the driver installations pass the WDV tests and there are no undetected hardware problems, it should be smooth sailing.

Post a querysettings share link and a V2 share link into the newest post before the end of the 48 hour driver stress test has completed.
