Hi... If transfer data from on-prem to azure and vice versa using site2site VPN is billable per transfered traffic or per hourly?

I'm located in indonesia so the traffic out from azure will have cost 0.09 per GB, am i right? This mean if we download file from azure VM to the internet, the traffic counted as cost?

Hi @Handian Sudianto ,

This table here is for traffic between two virtual networks (that are in different/same zones) connected via Vnet-to-Vnet Tunnels.

If you are having a Vnet-to-Vnet Tunnel, then your observation is correct.

If you are using a remote device via P2S, then the third row of the table would apply.

In case you are using a Site-to-Site tunnel, Refer to Internet Egress section of Azure Bandwidth Pricing

yes what i mean is traffic using Site-to-Site tunnel. In reference article we can see there are Internet Egress (routed via Microsoft Premium Global Network) and Internet Egress (Routed via Routing preference transit ISP network).
So for me Source from Asia will be used, right?

Yes.
If your VPN gateway region (except China) belongs to the Asian continent, then the row you have highlighted is correct.
