Disabling Reuse Files in Office Client

After evaluating the Semi-Annual Enterprise (Preview) 2208 build, we decided that "Reuse Files" is not a good fit for our organization. How can we disable it for when we deploy the Semi-Annual Enterprise 2208 build?

    You could do this with a Global Template that contains the Ribbon modification. This would have to be done through XML modification as described in Greg Maxey's page on modifying the ribbon.

    Such a modification would not interfere with user modifications to the QAT or Ribbon.

    This tab can be easily removed from the client's word,

    but you may need to use Group Policy to deploy the removal feature.

    Thank you. Our end users customize their ribbons and QATs and we'd rather not go down the road of trying to script something that will not disturb their customizations to the Office UI files.

    We'd like to completely disable the Reuse Files functionality. Is that possible?
