Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Azure Virtual Machine Snapshot Size
Hello Experts, I am trying to take a snapshot of a win10 VM. The OS disk size is 127 gb but the used space is only 25 gb. When snapshot is created, the size of the VHD file is 127 gb which is difficult to download/upload and expensive to keep as managed disk. Is there any workaround to snapshot with resulting VHD file size of currently used disk size only? Thanks.

Thanks for your query !
Can you try the concept of incremental snap shot as mentioned in the below document ?- Incremental snapshots are billed for the used size only.
- Incremental snapshots will always use standard HDDs storage, irrespective of the storage type of the disk
- Also make sure to read out the restrictions of incremental snap shots https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/virtual-machines/disks-incremental-snapshots?tabs=azure-portal#restrictions
