Thanks Elsie,
Now, we are able to create "anonymous" entries. However, if we disable this feature. "anonymous" users will be able to view the "Site Content" page. This is a security issue for us.

I have a public site. It is enable for "anonymous" login. I allow "anonymous" users to make an appointment by set the list permission as
but when I client the icon to add item to the list, SharePoint asks me to login?
I want to know what is the solution and what I miss. Many thanks.

I am in SharePoint 2016 (v15). I disable this feature in 15. But it is enable in 14. It this matter? or how to I disable it to 14?
Thanks for your response, ElsieLu.
We used SharePoint 2016.
I see the feature, viewformpageslockdown, was there. I disabled it. However, it still ask for login if I want to add new item?
Hi @Er Bo Guan ,
Which version of your SharePoint?
You could first check if the Anonymous is enabled in IIS Authentication. Then check if you enable Publishing feature at site collection level and site level.
And please check the features of your site collections via the following command:
get-spfeature -site http://sitecollectionURL
If ViewFormPagesLockDown is listed, it's enabled.
Please use the following command to disable it:
$lockdown = get-spfeature viewformpageslockdown
disable-spfeature $lockdown -url http://sitecollectionURL
