Upgrading to Windows 11-processor requirement

Hey folks, I've seen win11 has listed a quite generic processor requirement (dual core 1ghz+ or so), but on my laptop that runs a intel 6700hq processor, I cannot pass the windows computer health check tool for upgrading to win 11. It shows my laptop doesn't meet the minimum requirement.

All other things such as TPM, graphics driver, ram, rom are satisfied and the only possibllity is for processor. I checked microsoft's website and surprisingly found this documentation

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/design/minimum/supported/windows-11-supported-intel-processors

Does this mean microsoft is not supporting 7th gen intel processor or earlier and thus my computer doesn't meet the requirement, or is it simply microsoft hasn't finish testing the other processors and therefore I just need to wait?

On 24.06.2021, microsoft announced their new windows 11 and to check my computer's compatibility, I installed the PC health checker software from microsoft and that is telling me, "your pc does not meet the minimum requirements for windows 11" but my pc's specs are much more higher than the minimum requirements but still i am facing this issue. Is there anyone else windows user who faced or facing this same issue. Can it be a bug in the Microsoft's PC health checker app OR actually my PC does not meet the minimum requirements for windows 11. Please answer.

One more thing, isn't it due to disabled secure boot or TPM ?

Let’s check in the minimum system requirements for Windows 11, which are:

Processor 1 GHz or faster with 2 or more cores on a compatible 64-bit processor or System on a Chip (SoC)
    Memory 4 GB RAM
Storage 64 GB or larger storage device
System firmware UEFI, Secure Boot capable
TPM Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 2.0
Graphics card DirectX 12 compatible graphics / WDDM 2.x
Display >9” with HD Resolution (720p)
Internet connection Microsoft account and internet connectivity required for setup for Windows 11 Home

Therefore, make sure that your motherboard truly has a TPM 2.0 chip and it is enabled in UEFI, at the same time. enable Secure Boot.
Once done, you can save the settings and reboot your machine, check again.

Have your check secure boot state in system?

If you use legacy boot mode, you need to set the Boot Mode to UEFI in your BIOS setup to enable the Secure Boot feature (and potentially switch TMP 2.0 on, too)

    Hello,

Try updating the PC health check app, Microsoft has updated the app so it will now show the reason why you can't upgrade to Windows 11.

    Regards.

Microsoft stops the Health Check app and they removed the download it.
To get the Windows 11 and check for the compatibility, it is recommended to join the Windows Insider program in Windows 10 and in case your device is compatible you will receive an upgrade to Windows 11 insider.
