In Linux you can paste with CTRL+SHIFT+V, on windows 10 CTRL+V is supported as well as right clicking for pasting, on older version of windows you can try the above method!
When can the Windows command line tool directly copy/paste using Command/Ctrl + C/V?
The Windows command line can also be copied/pasted directly using Command / Ctrl + C / V. At present, some terminal tools such as PowerShell Core are not very good for Ctrl + C / V support, but in some scenarios it is very tasteless. Windows Terminal is a good start, I hope to improve this experience, Windows10 has made us like Windows enough.

For such feedback please use the Windows 10 feedback hub, it's done to left request like that one.
You can see how there; Send feedback to Microsoft with the Feedback Hub app
You can search all feedback items too, as maybe you can upvote your feedback if someone else already posted it for consideration.
Thanks

And what scenarios are "tasteless" (by which I assume you mean not working at you'd expect) in your mind?
