I have windows 8.1. I have had One Drive for year and years. I know how to delete items, I do it all the time. However, it will not allow me to delete them now. The checkmark is in the top right corner, so it has been selected. But when I click on the trash can, nothing happens and I get a message saying "7 items couldn't be recycled" Of course, I tried several times, that is why it is 7 items.
I must delete some items from One Drive. When I go to delete it will not allow me to delete.
Why am I no longer able to delete items from One Drive? In the past I never had a problem. Now, because I absolutely need to I cannot do it. What is up? I received a message this morning saying that my One Drive is almost full I must delete some items, but it will not allow me to delete. Message is "7 items couldn't be recycled"

OneDrive is currently not supported in the Q&A forums, the supported products are listed over here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/products (more to be added later on).
You can ask the experts in the dedicated OneDrive forum over here:
