I have facing the same issue
"We couldn't sign you in. Please try again." chromium - Debian
i have my college email id, but i cant login teams.microsoft.com shows error: "We couldn't sign you in. Please try again."
tried with diffrent PC and with diffrent browser, same result. however i have installed linux client in both of my PC & only one of them is working in other PC's team it's showing the same error.
PC1 : ArchLinux-x86_64
-----[PC-client]====>Working
-----[InBrowser-(Chrome & firefox)]====>NOT Working
PC2 : ParrotOS(Debian Based)-x86_64
-----[PC-client]====>NOT Working
-----[InBrowser-(Chrome & firefox)]====>NOT Working
ERROR : We couldn't sign you in. Please try again.
i also tried clearing cache & cookies, no diffrence.
my college provided an email id & password.
i also posted this same question here but they told me to post here so....

Do you try the windows desktop?
If this issue only happens on Linux system, it recommends you try the following distros: Ubuntu 16.04 LTS, Ubuntu 18.04 LTS, Fedora 30 Workstation, RHEL 8 Workstation, CentOS 8. As I know, these distros are supported by Teams for Linux.
