You can restore from backup (assuming there was one) but make sure no accounts have been added to the newly install app. Then sign on with recovery account to do the restore.

You can recover your account credentials from your cloud account, but you must first make sure that the account you're recovering doesn't exist in the Microsoft Authenticator app. For example, if you're recovering your personal Microsoft account, you must make sure you don't have a personal Microsoft account already set up in the authenticator app. This check is important so we can be sure we're not overwriting or erasing an existing account by mistake.

I don't understand what I am supposed to do with the recovery account and what is this account. Is it possible to have a walkthrougt to do this ?

I think my recovery account is my Microsoft account but when I log in with my correct password it says that there is no backup stored...

I made this many time during last years and it worked each Time, not this time.

Since the beginning I use the "restore from backup" then I use my Microsoft account mail, then I click on "Use your password instead". I use my Microsoft account password, then I verify my identity (I tried all available options). Like my phone number, after I writz the digit code I receive, and I have the "unable to recover" message.

for me has been the same, "no backup stored" and i am sure (with screenshot) that backup was on and i have only 1 microsoft account.
with another one i tried to create a couple of tokens, i try to backup them. it says "credentials have been backed up" then i see that backup date and creation date are "invalid date", i tried to restore and same error.
